Kids Quiz Olympic Bobsleigh Ace Fiona

Olympic bobsledder Fiona Harrison returned to her old school this week to talk about life on the ice.

Fiona, 29, spoke to children at St. Helen’s Primary in Hoyland and was interviewed by pupils as part of their Barnsley Sporting Heroes project.  St. Helen’s is the first school to kick-start the scheme which involves eight primary schools in Barnsley.

The Great Britain squad member showed the children a video of her in a bobsleigh and clips of a bobsleigh run.  Children then had a go at steering along with the video clip.

Barnsley based retail property specialist Dransfield Properties Ltd is one of the companies backing British hopeful Fiona Harrison – a new driver in the Great Britain women’s two man bobsleigh team.

28-year-old Fiona hails from Hoyland near Barnsley and is now based in Sheffield. She’s previously enjoyed success as a brake woman for Nicola Minichiello and is now looking forward to proving herself in the hot seat for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
